Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Field Engineer – Field Engineering to support the Zumwalt Total Ship Activation program in Pascagoula, MS. The role involves network removal, installation, integration, testing, and validation on shipboard systems.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience and an active security clearance. Travel is not anticipated; involves collaboration with naval and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Active U.S. government security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience with software/network systems, hardware/software integration, or system activation and testing.

Responsibilities

• Take down old networks, pull cables and racks.
• Populate and depopulate server racks and hardware.
• Install and maintain TSCEI software aboard Zumwalt class vessels.
• Collaborate with Software and Network Technicians and Engineers.
• Perform equipment installation, checkout, testing, and reporting of results.
