Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Senior Field Engineer – Field Engineering in Pascagoula, MS to lead network removal, installation, and integration on Zumwalt-class vessels. You will support TSCEi, performing equipment upgrades and tests aboard ships, coordinating with shipbuilders and vendors.

The role requires hands-on hardware/software experience, Naval communications know-how, and the ability to work on shipboard systems with lifting and climbing tasks. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required.
• Experience with software/network systems and lab or field testing.
• Experience with Naval Communications systems and C4I systems.
• Experience shipboard testing and integration.

Responsibilities

• Take down old networks, pull cables and racks; populate/depopulate server racks.
• Install and upkeep TSCEI software aboard Zumwalt-class vessels.
• Collaborate with Software and Network teams on engineering tasks.
• Install, test, and document equipment upgrades; maintain records.
• Provide regular status reports to TSCEi Team.
• Support system stage tests and demonstrate testing procedures.
• Interact with Shipbuilder, SUPSHIP, Ship’s Force and vendors on TSCE issues.
• Perform climbing and lifting associated with shipboard work.
