Job summary

ORBIS Inc. supports NSWCPD, Department 20, Surface ship programs by providing configuration management, engineering change control, HM&E systems engineering, and design support.

The role spans ship modernization, acquisition, sustainment, and issue resolution across multiple engineering disciplines. On-site support to ship design teams, assisting with design reviews, risk analyses, and system performance evaluations is required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of professional engineering support experience on US Navy HM&E shipboard systems.
• Master’s degree in engineering.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide configuration management and control system changes throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage and track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Ship Change Documents (SCDs).
• Assist with developing ECPs, resolving design discrepancies, and supporting design reviews.
• Provide on-site support to ship design teams and review test procedures and proposed ship changes.
