Job summary

GreenXT in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide programmatic, administrative, engineering, technical, training, and logistical support for HM&E systems aboard Navy vessels. The role covers life cycle management, data management, and installations/alterations, with focus on NSWCPD Auxiliary Machinery Systems Division.

Candidates should have a DoD Secret clearance and shipboard experience; the team emphasises cross-discipline collaboration and mission-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from an accredited college.
• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Three years of Navy ship auxiliary systems experience (AC/R, HES-C, etc.).
• Three years of experience with distributed machinery on Navy ships.
• Knowledge of SEP, MACHALTs, engineering change proposals, and SCD processes.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and work in confined spaces on ships.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-service engineering for AC/R, auxiliary, life support, ventilation, and related systems.
• Support test procedures, testing, and onsite coordination for MACHALTs and SCDs.
• Review designs and drawings; identify discrepancies with vessel configuration.
• Provide ship system configuration, testing, training, support, troubleshooting, and assessments.
• Conduct pre- and post-installation ship checks to verify installation drawings.
• Support NSWCPD SEP activities and System Engineering Plan tools/processes.
