Job summary

Prevailance, Inc. seeks a highly experienced Diesel Engine Inspector – Subject Matter Expert Trainer to support CNSP and the Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT).

The role focuses on diesel propulsion systems, overseeing shipboard inspections, and training Sailors for fault diagnosis and repair. The candidate will travel extensively CONUS and OCONUS, possess a SECRET clearance, and provide expert guidance to improve propulsion plant operations, maintenance practices, and crew readiness

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of supervisory watchstanding on diesel propulsion systems aboard warships.
• Minimum 15 years inspecting diesel propulsion systems on surface ships.
• Navy Diesel Engine Inspector certification required.
• At least two tours as Navy Diesel Engine Inspector supporting ship maintenance processes.
• Extensive Navy technical management across multiple ships.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level guidance on diesel propulsion systems and supporting equipment.
• Lead shipboard personnel to identify root causes of equipment failures and improve maintenance practices.
• Support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel for shipboard visits.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to strengthen operations.
• Mentor and develop junior inspectors and ensure readiness.
