Job summary

Prevailance, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Diesel Engine Inspector – Subject Matter Expert Trainer to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet as part of the Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT).

You will provide expert guidance on diesel propulsion systems and help crews improve readiness. The role demands extensive Navy diesel experience, EOOW leadership, and proven inspection capability across multiple ships.

Qualifications

Minimum 15+ years supervisory watchstanding on ships with diesel propulsion systems.
Minimum 15+ years inspecting diesel propulsion on surface ships.
Qualified and certified as a U.S. Navy Diesel Engine Inspector or equivalent.
Two tours as Navy Diesel Engine Inspector supporting maintenance processes.
Extensive Navy technical management experience across multiple ships.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on diesel propulsion systems and related equipment.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and improve operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Support extensive CONUS/OCONUS travel for shipboard visits and training.
