Ohio Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Natural Resources Engineer 4 to lead AML project design within the Division of Mineral Resources Management. The final HQ location will be determined for the successful applicant, with opportunities to work in Columbus, Cambridge, or New Philadelphia.

You will supervise engineers, select consultants, develop scopes, and oversee contract work while guiding other program staff and stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• PE licensure issued by the State Licensing Board.
• Minimum 2 years as a registered professional engineer.
• 12 months as Natural Resources Engineer 3 or equivalent related engineering experience.

Aufgaben

• Act as lead engineer and supervise assigned engineer on Abandoned Mine Land (AML) project design.
• Take lead role in selection of consultants to provide professional design services.
• Develop scope of work and assist in negotiating consultant contracts.
• Oversee consultant work in accordance with contracts.
• Review reports, plans, specifications and cost estimates developed by consultants and assist with contractor bidding process on in‑house and consultant developed projects.
• Manage AML Emergency Engineering Program including investigation, design, & construction oversight.
