TalentDome Staffing is recruiting a foundational Senior Native iOS & macOS Systems Engineer in Los Angeles, on-site only, willing to relocate. You will drive end-to-end native app development with Swift/SwiftUI, Core ML, and secure authentication, while building on-device ML systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Experience building complex, memory-intensive native iOS/macOS applications end to end.
• On-device ML experience with Core ML/MLX preferred.
• Willing to relocate to Los Angeles within ~6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own native iOS and macOS apps end-to-end using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Build and maintain on-device ML pipelines and models.
• Oversee release engineering from TestFlight to App Store with CI/CD.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, and energy on Apple hardware.
• Manage background asset delivery and rollback switches.

About the Opportunity

TalentDome Staffing is partnering with an early stage AI startup in Los Angeles to recruit a foundational Senior Native iOS & macOS Systems Engineer.

The company has secured $20M in seed funding with strong investor interest and is led by ML Leaders from big tech, PhD-level technical founders and CEO with a successful exit.

This role offers high autonomy, direct architectural impact, and the opportunity to build cutting-edge, on-device machine learning systems alongside an elite founding engineering group.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and own native iOS and macOS applications end-to-end using Swift and SwiftUI, including secure authentication (Keychain/Secure Enclave, Face ID/Touch ID), sync, and offline capabilities.


• Build and maintain background asset delivery pipelines for large files (hundreds of MBs / ML models), including versioned manifests, background verification, staged rollouts, and automatic rollback switches.


• Optimize app runtime performance, memory limits, and energy efficiency on Apple hardware using Xcode Instruments.


• Package and execute on-device machine learning models (Core ML, MLX) or high-performance local memory/media processing pipelines.


• Manage full-lifecycle release engineering from TestFlight betas through App Store distribution, A/B testing, and production quality monitoring via Xcode Cloud/Fastlane.

Must-Have Requirements

• Work Authorization: US Citizens and GCH will be accepted.


• Experience: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 5+ years with a Master's degree) in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.


• Experience building complex, memory-intensive native IOS or macOS applications end to end.


• Primary Tech Stack: Native Swift, SwiftUI, Core ML / MLX (or heavy memory/data/media processing experience like video, graphics, or local databases).


• Key Systems/Protocols: Keychain/Secure Enclave, Background Assets, Apple Instruments, local networking (Network framework/Bonjour), and release automation (Fastlane/Xcode Cloud).


• Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site, Los Angeles (Candidates outside LA must be willing to relocate within ~6 weeks; $20k–$30k relocation package provided).


• Previous experience working for a leading tech company such as Apple, Snap, Google, Meta, TikTok, etc
