Native American Bank is seeking a Consumer Lender to manage and expand our consumer lending portfolio, including mortgage, auto, and personal loans. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience and a proven ability to navigate ambiguity while improving lending processes.

This role emphasizes serving Native American communities with culturally sensitive financial solutions, building relationships, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in consumer lending with underwriting and credit analysis.
• Experience launching new lending programs is essential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and tribal leaders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and process consumer loan applications including mortgage, personal, and auto loans.
• Conduct credit assessments using financial statements and credit reports.
• Develop customized lending solutions for Native American clients.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
• Build relationships with community members and tribal entities.
• Provide financial education and guidance to clients on debt management and credit improvement.
