Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, seeks a Program Area Manager within the National Programs Office to lead US Space Force-related business development efforts. You will coordinate customer outreach, manage BD lifecycle, and guide cross‑functional teams to win new work while ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

You will develop relationships with government customers and JPL task managers, oversee cost/schedule/performance, and push BD processes to accelerate

Qualifications

• PhD or MA/MS in Engineering or related field with years of minimum work experience.
• Leadership experience in formulation, implementation, operations, and delivery of products.
• Knowledge of national defense / national security space domains and related processes.
• Extensive experience in developing businesses and managing the full BD lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Direct customer outreach and engagement for national security and defense initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate business leads from implementing organizations, contracts and pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer management and JPL task managers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and pursue follow-on business.
