Job summary

That's No Moon is seeking a Senior Narrative Gameplay Animator to create and integrate AAA quality animations for scripted moments within Unreal Engine 5. You will collaborate with leads, cameras, design, and tech art to ensure seamless cinematic and gameplay integration.

The role requires senior-level experience with motion capture and hand-key animation, a strong reel, and expertise in Maya. You will help establish animation standards and support the animation pipeline across the project.

Qualifications

• Senior motion capture and hand-key animation experience.
• Proficient with Unreal Engine (Sequencer).
• Experience across bipeds, quadrupeds, and vehicles.
• Showreel demonstrating gameplay animation.
• Knowledge of animation editing: blending, cycles, layering.
• Understanding of previsualization and cinematography.
• Expertise in Maya.
• Experience with scripted animations in engine.
• Experience with facial animation.
• Passionate about games and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and integrate AAA quality animations for scripted moments in Unreal Engine 5.
• Use motion capture and hand-key animation techniques.
• Support Unreal pipeline for scripted events.
• Collaborate with animators, engineers, design and production to ensure cohesive visuals.
• Work at a high technical and aesthetic level.
• Troubleshoot animation workflow, rigging and pipeline issues.
• Provide feedback across teams and establish animation standards.
• Participate in motion capture shoots when needed.
