Job summary

Wella Company in Calabasas (Hybrid‑3 onsite) seeks a senior HR Compliance Lead to own NA compliance, governance, statutory reporting and workplace investigations, with hands-on knowledge of California and New York rules. This senior IC partners with Employment Counsel, HR partners, Risk, Legal and Global Facilities to ensure policy and process updates, audits, and training meet regulatory requirements.

The role also manages I‑9 records, wage & hour enforcement, and multi‑state remote-work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR required; advanced degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in HR compliance, audit, or governance in US, multi-state experience.
• Strong California and New York compliance knowledge.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Familiarity with US statutory reporting cycles and OFCCP.
• Proficiency with SAP SuccessFactors and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive NA HR policy library including US/Canada handbooks and state addenda.
• Lead policy review cycles and translate regulatory developments into policy updates.
• Own HR record retention and audits of personnel files and I-9 documentation.
• Monitor multi-state remote work compliance and coordinate with Payroll and Legal.
• Lead statutory reporting cycles (EEO-1, VETS, OFCCP, etc.).
• Conduct end-to-end workplace investigations and file reports with findings.
• Deliver manager training on documentation, leave, wage/hour basics, and performance management.
