Job summary

PestRoutes.com is seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator to ensure the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances. The role involves orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning database instances while working in tandem with other teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in MySQL and must be able to prepare documentation and specifications as necessary. Responsibilities include profiling server resource usage and optimizing configurations to maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management.
• Decent experience with recent versions of MySQL.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL.
• Experience with database versioning tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provision MySQL instances in clustered and non-clustered configurations.
