Job summary

Centraprise is seeking a skilled MySQL DBA to join our Englewood Cliffs, NJ onsite team. You will own provisioning, tuning, and operational support for MySQL environments, including AWS RDS/Aurora, Linux servers, and replication.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong scripting skills, and a mindset for reliability and security. You will collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on MySQL DBA experience.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with AWS RDS and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work with DevOps and application teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain MySQL 5.7/8.0 on Linux.
• Perform database performance tuning, slow query analysis, and index optimization.
• Manage backups using mysqldump and Percona XtraBackup.
• Configure and support MySQL replication (Master–Slave, GTID).
• Work on high availability setups (MySQL Cluster, InnoDB Cluster, Galera).
• Maintain and optimize AWS-hosted databases: EC2 MySQL instances, AWS RDS/Aurora MySQL.
• Troubleshoot database performance, latency, and resource issues.
• Patching, upgrades, and engine maintenance.
• Implement and manage user access, privileges, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for schema changes and deployments.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for production support.

• We are hiring an experienced MySQL Database Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in managing, tuning, and supporting MySQL environments. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Linux, AWS cloud services, and production‑grade MySQL administration.

Roles & Responsibilities
