Qualifications

• 10+ years of MySQL DBA experience with on-prem and cloud setups.
• Experience provisioning standalone, replication, cluster and HA MySQL configurations.
• Exposure to OCI, AWS RDS and MySQL HeatWave desired.
• Ability to ensure DB performance, security and availability.
• Experience with backup/recovery procedures and migration tasks.
• Proficiency in shell or Python scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with NDB/MySQL InnoDB clusters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain MySQL DB infrastructure across environments.
• Monitor performance and tune server-level and SQL queries.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on DB-related issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation and specifications.
• Implement upgrades, recoveries, migrations and DR planning.
• Manage backups, security policies, and high-availability configurations.
