Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a proposals-focused Electrical Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for Siemens medium-voltage power distribution equipment. You will design power distribution solutions, create SLDs and layouts, and support sales in meetings and negotiations for data centers, utilities, and large industrial projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and experience reading electrical drawings, with a strong emphasis on vendor coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Knowledge of medium-voltage power distribution equipment (switchgear, transformers).
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards.
• Understanding of relay protection, controls, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, drawings, and electrical requirements.
• Design power distribution solutions using Siemens GIS and MV switchgear.
• Create single-line diagrams, layouts, and proposal documents.
• Coordinate with vendors to source equipment and evaluate quotes.
• Develop project cost estimates and pricing models.
• Support sales teams during meetings and negotiations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
• Transition awarded proposals from proposal stage to execution.
