Job summary

Evolution Well Services (EVO) seeks a Medium Voltage Distribution Systems Engineer in The Woodlands, TX. You will design MV distribution systems (2.4/4.16/13.8 kV), switchgear, transformers, and protection schemes for EVO’s hydraulic fracturing fleet, focusing on safe, reliable power delivery.

You will perform load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies, coordinate protections (SEL relays), prepare drawings in AutoCAD Electrical, and support FAT, SAT, and on-site commissioning while

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year electrical engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in medium voltage power systems design and engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer MV distribution systems (2.4kV, 4.16kV, 13.8kV) for EVO fleet operations.
• Perform power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash analyses.
• Develop and maintain protection relay coordination studies and settings (SEL relays).
• Specify MV cables, terminations, connectors, and cable management systems.
• Create and review single line and three line diagrams, and protection/metering schematics.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and commissioning; troubleshoot distribution and protection systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements and project goals.
• Maintain design documentation in EVO Vault PDM system.
