Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced electrical field technician to lead testing, troubleshooting, and startup of low to medium‑voltage equipment in field and shop settings.

You will wield advanced test gear, assess results, and propose actions while traveling locally, regionally, and nationally—international travel preferred. Expect to work under NETA/NICET guidelines, interpret schematics, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power distribution systems and equipment.
• Conduct insulation resistance testing, power factor testing, and relay tests per NETA standards.
• Lead projects onsite and in-house, review and maintain documentation from order to invoice.
• Calibrate and program protective relays and test circuit breakers/switchgear.
• Rotating on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
