Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Project Engineer - Municipal Water/Wastewater to support civil and environmental engineering projects, including wastewater infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, design, implementation, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment systems.

The role requires a Texas-licensed P.E., strong writing and communication skills, and willingness to travel locally for site inspections and client meetings.

Qualifications

• B.S or M.S degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Texas-Licensed P.E. certification.
• Local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings.
• Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent organization and design planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical report writing
• Field investigations/site reconnaissance
• Utility coordination
• Erosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans
• Engineering cost estimating and analysis
• Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
• Engineering design calculations
• Engineering specification review and contract documents for construction
• Bid and award services
• Construction phase engineering services
• Coordinate with subconsultants and internal QA/QC reviewers
• Mentor associate-level engineering staff
• Assist project management with scheduling and cost tracking
• Interact with clients professionally and escalate to senior team when needed
