Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer- Municipal Water/Wastewater in San Antonio, TX to support civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system evaluation, rehabilitation, and water distribution design.

Responsibilities include technical reporting, design analysis, data collection, and coordination with subconsultants and clients. A PE license is required, with local travel for site inspections and client meetings.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Texas-Licensed P.E. certification.
• This position will require some local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.
• Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent organization and design planning skills.
• Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.

Responsibilities

• Support civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, design, and water distribution system design.
• Interact with clients professionally and escalate to senior team members as needed.
• Assist project management in updating schedule progress and estimating/tracking costs.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and QA/QC reviewers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates.

The Project Engineer- Municipal Water/Wastewater will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, design, and water distribution system design.

• Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants.
• Coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
• Engage associate-level engineering staff on team in design activities to promote growth in their skills through work delegation, quality reviews and backchecks and mentorship.
• Assist the project management team in updating / tracking schedule progress and estimating and tracking project costs.
• Interact with clients in a professional manner, responding to client questions and requests and escalating to more senior team members when appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $95,872 - $126,819 - $157,661
