Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer- Municipal Water/Wastewater in San Antonio, TX.

The role supports civil and environmental engineering projects, including wastewater collection system evaluation, rehabilitation, design, and water distribution design. This position requires a BS/MS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience and a Texas-licensed P.E.; some local travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Texas-licensed P.E. certification.
• Some local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication with multi-disciplinary staff.
• Proficient in standard business software; AutoCAD/GIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support civil/environmental engineering projects for municipal water/wastewater.
• Prepare design calculations, contract documents, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with subconsultants and QA/QC reviewers.
• Engage in project scopes, schedules, and client communications.

The Project Engineer- Municipal Water/Wastewater will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, design, and water distribution system design

Location: San Antonio, TX

Expected Outcomes:

• Technical report writing
• Pipeline routing alternatives design and analysis.
• Field investigations/site reconnaissance.
• Data collection.
• Utility coordination.
• Erosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans.
• Engineering cost estimating and analysis.
• Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis.
• Engineering design calculations.
• Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction.
• Bid and award services.
• Construction phase engineering services.
• Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates.
• Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants.
• Coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.
• Engage associate-level engineering staff on team in design activities to promote growth in their skills through work delegation, quality reviews and backchecks and mentorship.
• Assist the project management team in updating / tracking schedule progress and estimating and tracking project costs.
• Interact with clients in a professional manner, responding to client questions and requests and escalating to more senior team members when appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Texas-Licensed P.E. certification.
• This position will require some local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.
• Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent organization and design planning skills.
• Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
• Proficient in using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
• AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred.
