• 8+ years of related experience in municipal engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; PE license preferred.
• Knowledge of capital project design, stormwater, utility design and budgeting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team with client focus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work plans and budgets for department approval.
• Monitor schedules and capital budgets to satisfy clients and productivity.
• Prepare engineering designs and ensure technical accuracy.
• Oversee quality control/assurance on projects.
• Lead project teams and ensure timely deliverables.
• Aim for profit, productivity, and schedule targets.
• Contribute to proposals and marketing/business development.
• Identify project teams, tasks, and manpower needs.
• Hold meetings and review procedures prior to submission.
• Negotiate scope changes with clients with supervisor approval.
• Coordinate with project staff to ensure high utilization.
• Review monthly man-hour and cost reports.
• Ensure adherence to project planning and profit control.
• Discuss scope revisions with the client and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with departments on billing and collections.
• Mentor junior staff in technical and business practices.
