Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) in Wall Township, NJ, seeks an experienced Project Manager for the Municipal Services Department to lead municipal infrastructure projects from planning to construction. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and serve as primary liaison with clients, agencies, and utilities.

The role requires a PE license in NJ, 10+ years in municipal engineering, strong communication, and leadership skills. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering or public infrastructure design and delivery.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to clients and public agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, and capital improvement programs.
• Serve as Project Manager responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and overall project delivery.
• Prepare, review, and oversee engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents in compliance with regulations.
• Oversee development of plans, profiles, and construction details using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants.
• Act as primary point of contact for municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers.
• Lead client meetings, public presentations, and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Oversee review of shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction administration.
• Provide senior-level construction support, including field visits and issue resolution.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with codes and agency requirements.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff; support business development and proposals.
