Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks an experienced Bridge Department Manager to lead our Bridge Department at our Wall Township, NJ headquarters. You will oversee project delivery, mentor staff, and build client relationships while expanding the department’s portfolio and market presence in the Northeast.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in bridge/structural transport engineering, a PE license, and a proven track record with NJDOT and public-sector clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required; NJ license preferred or reciprocity.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in bridge/structural/transportation engineering.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex projects.
• Experience working with NJDOT, transportation authorities, counties and municipalities.
• Strong knowledge of bridge design codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Bridge Department, ensuring project delivery and quality.
• Serve as Senior Project Manager on major transportation and bridge assignments.
• Mentor staff and support business development.
• Cultivate client relationships with NJDOT and public agencies.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across highways, traffic, geotechnical, and environmental.
