Job summary

Artheon is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering team in New Jersey. You will oversee planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration of public infrastructure projects for municipal, county, and public-sector clients.

The ideal candidate has 8–15+ years of municipal engineering experience, a NJ PE license, and strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of progressive municipal engineering and project management experience.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license in New Jersey or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple municipal infrastructure projects from proposal through project closeout.
• Serve as the primary contact for municipal officials, public works departments, county agencies, and utility providers.
• Prepare project scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance.
• Oversee preparation and review of engineering plans, specs, estimates, and bid documents.
• Lead roadway reconstruction, drainage improvements, utility infra, ADA compliance, and streetscape projects.
• Coordinate with NJDEP, NJDOT, county agencies, and permitting authorities.
• Manage consultant teams, subcontractors, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and specialty consultants.
• Review calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings for quality assurance.
