Job summary

Pennoni seeks a Project Engineer to advance municipal projects from our office in West Chester, PA. You will engage in design, permitting, and reporting for diverse infrastructure initiatives and coordinate with planning boards.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering degree, 8+ years of experience, and a PA PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering.
• PA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of municipal engineering projects for Pennsylvania municipalities (subdivision & land development reviews, road rehabilitation, stormwater management, capital improvements, grant writing, public meetings).
• Prepare engineering reports.
• Contribute to project design and permitting tasks.
• Review applications before planning, zoning, and land-use boards.
• Coordinate master planning-related tasks.
• Mentor less-experienced staff members.
• Perform outdoor construction inspection work when needed.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.
