Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Engineer to contribute to municipal projects from our West Chester, PA office on a full-time, direct basis. The role focuses on subdivision reviews, road rehab, SWM/MS4, and capital improvements, with design and permitting duties throughout PA.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in engineering, a Civil/Environmental background, and is prepared to obtain a PA PE license within six months. Collaboration and mentoring of staff are important aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience, infrastructure/utility projects preferred.
• PA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Work on municipal engineering projects for Pennsylvania municipalities, including subdivision & land development reviews, road rehabilitation, SWM/MS4, capital improvements, grant writing, and public meeting attendance.
• Prepare engineering reports and contribute to project design and permitting.
• Review applications before planning, zoning, and land-use boards; coordinate master planning tasks.
• Provide mentorship to less-experienced staff and conduct outdoor construction inspections as needed.
• Additional tasks may be assigned.
