Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects from our Philadelphia office. This full-time role focuses on wastewater treatment and conveyance, with flexible location considerations for the right candidate.

You will coordinate with developers, municipalities, and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic, develop design criteria, prepare technical reports, and oversee project scope, schedule, and budgets while mentoring staff and engaging with clients across PA and NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 8+ years of professional experience in engineering, preferably water/wastewater.
• PA PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of staff on multiple water/wastewater projects through design, bidding, and construction support.
• Interact with clients in PA/NJ to help develop design criteria and permitting parameters.
• Design and develop project plans, technical reports, cost estimates, and specs.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budgets across projects.
• Communicate with team and clients on design and construction progress.
• Conduct field data collection and provide construction administration as needed.
• Mentor other staff to improve team capabilities.
• Perform additional tasks as required.
