As a Senior Civil Engineer at Houston Engineering, Inc. (HEI), you will help define the character of cities and neighborhoods through private and public urban projects. You will be involved in go/no-go decision making, developing current client relationships, securing new work, mentoring, and leading project teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, or market demand.
• Prepare engineering documents, including design reports, cost estimates, and project schedules, in accordance with current codes.
• Manage budgets and schedules to ensure timely project completion.
• Participate in client meetings, pre-project presentations, and preconstruction meetings.
• Lead and mentor civil engineers and project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering, Bioproducts and Biosystem Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer license in NE or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably recent experience in NE.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with project management and budgeting.
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
