Job summary

Toole Design is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to lead multimodal corridor studies, Vision Zero initiatives, and Safe Routes to School projects across California from our Oakland office. You’ll mentor staff, build client relationships, and guide projects from concept through implementation with interdisciplinary teams.

Based in Oakland, you’ll collaborate with planners, engineers, urban designers, and landscape architects to deliver safe, equitable mobility solutions that align with

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or California Transportation Engineer certification.
• 8+ years multimodal transportation project experience.
• Proven leadership of multi-discipline design and planning projects.
• Strong networks in the California transportation market.
• Experience presenting projects to diverse audiences.
• Ability to win work by developing proposals and interviews.
• Spanish language knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead multimodal corridor studies, Vision Zero initiatives, and Safe Routes to School projects.
