Job summary

MDC Executive Search has partnered with a well-established multifamily real estate company to hire a Project Manager in California. This role will lead ground-up multifamily projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a split schedule between the Newport Beach corporate office (three days) and an Inland Empire jobsite (two days).

Responsibilities include developing schedules and budgets, supervising subcontractors, coordinating with design professionals, and ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Extensive multifamily construction project management experience.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, and contract documentation knowledge.
• Proven ability to supervise subcontractors and project staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel between Newport Beach office and Inland Empire site.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground-up multifamily construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Supervise subcontractors and project staff on site.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, vendors, and leadership.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Conduct site visits and monitor progress, quality, and safety.
• Identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates to ownership and senior management.
• Review bids, scopes of work, invoices, and payments.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting.
