Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Chicago area. This permanent role offers a strong compensation package, bonus and car allowance, plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include overseeing full project lifecycle, coordinating with architects and engineers, managing budgets and timelines, ensuring safety and quality, and communicating with clients. Minimum 7 years of construction experience and a related degree required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction and 2+ years as a Project Manager handling ground-up multifamily projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Track record of managing large-scale multifamily projects from start to finish.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the entire lifecycle of multifamily construction projects from conception to completion.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other building specialists.
• Managing budget, timeline, and resources to deliver on time and within budget.
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Ensuring safety regulations and quality standards are met.
• Resolving issues or delays affecting timeline.
• Communicating with clients, team members, and stakeholders about progress.
• Presenting project updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
• Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
