Job summary

IFF Family of Companies in New Century, KS seeks a multi-craft maintenance technician. The role covers electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, millwright and painting tasks at a moderately complex level, applying hands-on skills gained from practical experience.

The incumbent will work under the Maintenance Supervisor, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment history updates with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability for production

Qualifications

• Two years of plant equipment, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, HVAC and general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow site safety and environmental policies; complete safe work permits and PPE adherence.
• Operate and maintain plant and facility mechanical equipment; perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, rebuilds and inspections.
• Provide troubleshooting for equipment failures; support other departments to minimize downtime; perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Complete plant rounds, water readings, wastewater samples, boiler and refrigeration checks, and water treatment analysis as needed.
• Maintain accurate spare parts usage log and update equipment history files.
• Note changes to electrical wiring diagrams, control schematics, or P&ID drawings; ensure proper documentation.
• Keep work area clean; ensure tools and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
• Regular attendance and adherence to ISO 9000/14000 and Food Safety policies.
