Job summary

GDIT in the Washington, DC area seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead a large, multi-site modernization program, overseeing cost, schedule, and technical compliance while coordinating across contracts, legal, and vendor teams.

You will drive delivery, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, ensuring program quality and profitability in a complex DoD environment with possible hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years of IT project management experience within the last 10 years.
• At least two years as the program manager of a major enterprise infrastructure upgrade for a DoW customer.
• Two+ years managing a program with 3+ complex inter-related IT projects using IMS/WBS.
• Recent experience with wireless and private mobile network infrastructure including 5G.
• PMI PMI- or PgMP-certified (PMP or PgMP).
• Two+ years in the last five years with Cost Plus task orders.
• Strong oral communication and ability to present to Government leadership.
• Knowledge of DoW or federal contracting regs (FAR/DFARS).
• Experience with contract changes, REAs, and proposal development.
• Coordination with Contracts, Legal, Supply Chain and Subcontracts for large purchases.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• 25%+ CONUS travel.
• PM located in the Washington, DC commuting area with potential remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost, schedule, technical compliance, and alignment with contract and task order requirements.
• Provide leadership for contractor personnel across multiple sites for coordinated modernization.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with dependency‑driven IMS planning and WBS structures.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with proactive reporting, issue resolution, and strategic guidance.
• Ensure overall program quality, efficiency, and profitability across the modernization effort.
• Make decisions on behalf of the contractor regarding Government concerns, risks, and constraints.
