Job summary

Counseling In Schools (CIS) seeks an experienced Multi-Site Program Director to lead and oversee DYCD and 21CCLC afterschool programs across NYC. You will supervise Program Site Directors, ensure high-quality programming, and maintain contractual compliance while strengthening school partnerships.

This role requires building staff development plans, coordinating with HR, and managing program budgets within a mission-driven organization. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in afterschool programming, youth development, education, and program management.
• Must meet qualifications for SACC Program Director or supervisory role.
• Experience with DYCD, 21CCLC, NYC afterschool regulations required.
• Experience managing budgets, program data, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program quality, operations, and implementation across multiple DYCD and 21CCLC afterschool sites in NYC.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Program Site Directors and staff; establish expectations and growth plans.
• Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of Program Site Directors and staff with HR.
• Address performance concerns and implement improvement strategies with CIS leadership and HR.
• Monitor enrollment, attendance, documentation, and reporting to ensure accountability and compliance.
