Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Lead Cloud Architect to design, secure, and integrate enterprise-scale multi-cloud environments for DoD missions. You will own the technical vision and govern cloud architecture across Azure, AWS, and GovCloud, ensuring compliance with RMF and FedRAMP.

This role requires a Secret clearance and occasional travel to the San Antonio work site. You will lead DevSecOps teams, implement IaC strategies, and establish governance, guardrails, and disaster recovery capabilities across

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance required.
• 8 years enterprise architecture and cloud solutions experience.
• Willingness to travel to San Antonio, Texas as needed.
• Experience with DoD reference architectures (Cloud One, Platform One).
• Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and DISA.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for enterprise cloud architecture.
• Design and govern multi-cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GovCloud).
• Lead CSP integration and platform modernization.
• Define and implement IaC strategies for automated provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle operations.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails.
• Ensure interoperability across mission systems and enterprise platforms.
• Provide technical oversight for engineering and DevSecOps teams.
• Design high-availability and resilient cloud solutions to meet performance requirements.
• Oversee development and documentation of test plans for the multicloud ecosystem.
• Lead disaster recovery architectures including cross-region replication.
