Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a MuleSoft Tech Lead to design, build, and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The role emphasizes API-led connectivity, end-to-end lifecycle management, and secure, scalable integrations across utilities and critical services.

The position is hybrid, with 2 days per week in a Cognizant office in San Francisco, CA. Strong leadership and extensive MuleSoft experience are required.

Qualifications

• 10–13 years of enterprise integration experience with proven technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform expertise.
• End-to-end API lifecycle management experience.
• Experience with AWS Kiro or similar tooling for designs, code, tests, and docs.
• Strong API security knowledge and data protection practices.
• Experience with outage management integrations and service restoration workflows.
• MuleSoft Architect certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of secure, scalable MuleSoft integration solutions.
• Drive end-to-end API lifecycle using API Manager and MuleSoft capabilities.
• Define reusable API-led integration patterns and security standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across MuleSoft and AWS components.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and monitoring controls.
• Improve performance, availability, and incident response for integrations.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, and cloud teams to translate requirements.
• Maintain architecture docs, mappings, and runbooks; mentor engineers.
