Job summary

Illinois Secretary of State is seeking an Information Systems Advisor II – Integration Management to lead the design, development, and support of MuleSoft- and API-driven integrations within the Enterprise Applications division. The role combines hands-on engineering with functional leadership to ensure high-quality, secure, and enterprise-aligned solutions.

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework in computer science with 4.5+ years in technical systems.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience or equivalent leadership.
• Experience with MuleSoft, API-led connectivity, and Java preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support MuleSoft- and API-driven integrations.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance for the Integration Management team.
• Lead incident resolution and ensure availability and performance of integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, data teams, and QA across enterprise applications.
• Document APIs, runbooks, and integration frameworks; drive continuous improvement.
