Job summary

State of Connecticut – Department of Administrative Services is seeking an Integrations Subject Matter Expert and Lead Architect for MuleSoft API integration and orchestration. You will drive statewide adoption, champion API-led architectures, and empower agencies to modernize interconnected services.

The role sits in the Enterprise Architecture and Strategy (EAS) team within the Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS).

Qualifications

Nine years of experience in infrastructure systems support, programming, database administration, systems/software development, networking or technical support.
Experience designing and implementing integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including leading API-led connectivity programs.
Experience developing API specifications and using RAML or OpenAPI principles.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for API-led integration efforts.
Architect, implement, support, and monitor MuleSoft integrations powering mission-critical services.
Guide state agencies in modernizing legacy interfaces and enabling real-time, event-driven interactions.
Oversee intake of integration requests and establish enterprise standards and patterns.
Mentor internal teams and external partners on MuleSoft best practices.
