Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Senior Medical Science Liaison – Rheumatology to be based in the New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and Washington DC territory.

The Senior MSL acts as a field-based scientific and clinical expert, building relationships with KOLs and health care teams, providing balanced scientific information, and supporting investigator-initiated studies within compliant policies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, etc).
• 2+ years of relevant MSL experience.
• Strong scientific acumen and data interpretation.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% within territory.
• Valid US driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the territory.
• Engage in high quality, two-way scientific exchange with KOLs and HCPs.
• Identify and cultivate professional relationships with community and academic HCPs/KOLs.
• Utilize insights to develop a strategic approach for customer engagements.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance decision making and efficiency.
• Deliver scientific data tailored to HCP needs through clear dialogue and presentations.
• Coordinate investigator-initiated studies and provide support to internal partners.
• Respond to unsolicited research inquiries with objective, evidence-based information.
• Execute Medical Affairs strategy and priorities while balancing short and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Medical Affairs and R&D.
