Job summary

Zevra Therapeutics, Inc. in Tampa, Florida, seeks a Senior/Principal Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our U.S. Medical Affairs team and support the Southeast and Southwest regions.

The role focuses on in-field scientific exchange, building relationships with HCPs, KOLs, researchers, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MSL/Medical Affairs experience, strong background in rare diseases, and the ability to translate complex clinical data into meaningful dialogue.

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent degree preferred.
• 5+ years MSL or related Medical Affairs experience.
• Rare disease experience required; lysosomal/metabolic/rare neurological disorders preferred.
• Willingness to travel 60–75% and reside in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted scientific and clinical resource to KOLs, HCPs, researchers, and healthcare stakeholders in the Southern U.S. territory.
• Provide scientific leadership within field Medical Affairs and help shape field medical strategy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external experts and institutions for meaningful exchange.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with balanced, evidence-based medical information about Zevra's portfolio.
• Maintain knowledge of disease states, treatment landscapes, data, and competitor activity.
• Represent Zevra at scientific congresses, meetings, and advisory boards.
