Job summary

Zevra Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Senior MSL) or Principal Medical Science Liaison (Principal MSL) to join our U.S. Medical Affairs organization and support the Central U.S. territory.

The Senior/Principal MSL will serve as a field-based scientific and clinical expert, developing trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, and decision-makers. They will advance understanding of rare diseases, support evidence generation, and inform medical

Qualifications

• MD/PhD/PharmD, DNP or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years MSL or related field-based Medical Affairs experience.
• Rare disease experience required; lysosomal/metabolic/rare neurological disorders preferred.
• Ability to travel 60–75% and reside in Central U.S.
• Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted scientific and clinical resource to KOLs, HCPs, researchers, and healthcare stakeholders across the Central U.S. territory.
• Provide scientific leadership within the field Medical Affairs organization and contribute to strategy and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with external experts and institutions for meaningful scientific exchange.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and provide balanced, evidence-based information on disease states and Zevra's portfolio.
• Maintain knowledge of disease states, treatment landscapes, clinical data, and competitor activity.
• Stay current on scientific developments and share insights across Medical Affairs.
• Capture and communicate meaningful medical insights to inform strategies.
• Document HCP interactions and insights accurately in Veeva CRM.
• Support Medical Affairs projects aligned with U.S. Medical strategy and plans.
• Engage HCPs and investigators in scientific discussions on research opportunities and trials.
• Represent Zevra at scientific congresses, medical meetings, and advisory boards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally while maintaining Medical Affairs independence and compliance.
