Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based MSL/Senior MSL to strategically support research and business objectives across a designated therapeutic area and geography. You will be the primary scientific communicator to healthcare professionals, building relationships and delivering education throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualified candidates hold an advanced degree and have strong clinical expertise, with the ability to travel up to 75% within the Upstate NY, Western PA, and Central PA territories.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (e.g., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, APP in a relevant scientific discipline).
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL.
• Must be able to translate territory and corporate needs to support objectives.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with thought leaders, centers, and researchers.
• Present scientific information and education to healthcare professionals across the lifecycle.
• Support research initiatives, investigator meetings, and external collaborations.
• Create awareness and relationships for AbbVie in new therapeutic areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support commercial partners as needed.
• Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field staff, and ensure compliance.
