Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a field-based scientific expert across community and health-system settings in California. Qualifications

• PharmD, PhD, MD or DO in a relevant life science discipline.
• 1-3 years' prior MSL experience in pharma/biotech.
• Ability to critically evaluate and communicate complex clinical data.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and digital engagement platforms.
• Travel up to 60-70% within the territory; reside within territory.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and cultivate long-term relationships with EOLs, thought leaders, and HCPs across community and health system settings within a defined territory.
• Deliver accurate, balanced, and scientifically rigorous information on Alnylam's therapies and therapeutic areas through peer-to-peer scientific exchange.
• Engage HCPs in community practice settings in evidence-based scientific dialogue, drawing on relevant clinical and outcomes data.
• Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, and clinical research activities.
• Gather, synthesize, and communicate medical and scientific insights from the field to internal stakeholders.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs within 2 business days.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Strategic Account Management teams.
• Represent Alnylam at national, regional and local medical conferences, symposia, and meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of disease areas, clinical data, competitive landscape, and evolving evidence.
• Ensure activities comply with regulations and policies.
