Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison to drive the ADA franchise as part of the Field Medical Affairs team. The MSL/Senior MSL will execute the national medical affairs plan within a defined territory and support other pipeline programs as needed.

This field-based position covers CA, OR, WA, AK and HI, and candidates must reside in the geography. Excellent communication and scientific presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, DO, APNP or PhD).
• Previous MSL experience preferred.
• Experience in neurology, neuroscience, Alzheimer’s disease and/or geriatric psychiatry is a plus.
• Candidates must reside within the territory and be able to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals to raise awareness of Axsome’s mission.
• Maintain knowledge of neuropsychiatry and approved pipeline medications and competitive landscape.
• Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal partners.
• Deliver formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders when requested.
• Lead scientific discovery and translate insights from peer-to-peer discussions.
