Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison to focus on developing the ADA franchise. This field-based role covers CA, OR, WA, AK and HI. Candidates must reside within the geography.

The MSL will be the primary communicator of Axsome science and execute the national medical affairs plan within the territory. Responsibilities include identifying and nurturing relationships with healthcare professionals, delivering balanced scientific information,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, DO, APNP or PhD)
• Previous MSL experience preferred
• Neurology/neuroscience/Alzheimer’s disease experience is a plus
• Geography residency required (CA, OR, WA, AK, HI)
• Willingness to travel up to 75% including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals to raise awareness of Axsome’s mission
• Develop knowledge of neuropsychiatry and approved pipeline medications, and competitive landscape
• Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal partners
• Deliver formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders on request
• Lead scientific discovery and share insights from discussions with HCPs
• Collaborate with internal partners to advance clinical and business objectives
• Maintain expertise in Alzheimer’s Disease and other neuroscience areas
• Document field activities and medical insights; process information requests and trainings
• Support company-sponsored trials and assist with investigator-initiated research reviews
