Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior MSL to support the ADA franchise. This field-based role covers CA, OR, WA, AK and HI, and requires residing within the territory.

The MSL will communicate Axsome science, execute the national medical affairs plan, and support other pipeline programs as needed. The role demands advanced degrees, potential MSL experience, and the ability to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, DO, APNP or PhD).
• Previous MSL experience preferred.
• Preference for neurology/neuroscience/Alzheimer’s disease experience.
• Must reside within geographic territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays and weekends.
• Must meet health industry credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals to raise awareness of Axsome’s mission.
• Maintain deep knowledge of neuropsychiatry and approved medications; understand competitive landscape.
• Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal partners.
• Deliver formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders as needed.
• Lead scientific discussions and translate insights from peer-to-peer conversations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to advance clinical and business objectives.
• Develop expertise in Alzheimer’s and other neuroscience areas; stay updated on market issues.
• Document field activities and submit insights and information requests.
• Support company-sponsored trials and assist with investigator-initiated research reviews.
