Job summary

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Medical Science Liaison/Senior MSL to lead scientific communication and execute the national medical affairs plan within a defined US territory. The role covers CA, OR, WA, AK and HI and requires residence within the geography.

The MSL will develop relationships with HCPs, maintain expertise in neuropsychiatry, and provide fair, balanced information to both external stakeholders and internal teams. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, DO, APNP or PhD).
• Previous MSL experience preferred.
• Experience in neurology or Alzheimer's disease is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with healthcare professionals to raise Axsome's science.
• Maintain deep knowledge of neuropsychiatry and the competitive landscape.
• Provide fair and balanced scientific information to HCPs and internal teams.
• Deliver formal presentations to HCPs and external stakeholders.
• Lead scientific discovery and share insights from peer discussions with HCPs.
• Translate territory needs to achieve clinical and business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal partners to advance objectives.
• Build expertise in Alzheimer's and other neuroscience areas.
• Stay informed on market issues and product knowledge relevant to therapeutics.
• Support growth of the National Field Medical Team and complete required tasks.
• Provide high-level support for sponsor trials and investigator-initiated proposals.
