Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney unit seeks a Senior Principal Engineer Manufacturing Readiness Lead to guide MRL deployment across key hardware. You will drive readiness plans, partner with operations, engineering, quality, and procurement, and lead a diverse team to optimize production transitions and defect reduction.

This onsite role demands strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a high-stakes environment. Travel up to 20% is possible; relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with 10 years of experience, or advanced degree with 7 years.
• Knowledge of CORE and/or Six Sigma methodologies; certification preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement tools (DFSS, Red-X, Lean, TPS).

Responsibilities

• Drive MRL progression to 8 and beyond with measurable readiness plans and milestones.
• Lead cross-functional risk reduction and readiness execution with multiple stakeholders.
• Improve process capability by evaluating documentation and data and driving corrective actions.
• Ensure qualification, certification, FAI, and production ramp-up align with MRL requirements.
• Build a high-performing MRL team through coaching, resource planning, and performance management.
