Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist for an on-site, Atlanta-based position at the System Support Center. You will perform MRI procedures across all patient ages, ensuring protocol accuracy, patient safety, and image quality, while coordinating with on-site staff during remote sessions.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 2 years of MRI experience, and ARRT MRI (MR) certification, with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist required.
• Advanced ARRT MRI (MR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients in every age group.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competency in all non-scanner related components.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Maintains proficiency to perform advanced MR procedures.
• Regularly assumes responsibilities and provides direct care for the more complex patients.
• Functions independently with little guidance from manager.
• Remotely initiates and controls scanning and technical parameters in real time and monitors image quality.
